The National Historic Sites Alliance is a network of over a 1,000 National Historic Sites designated by the Government of Canada.
We are an emerging organization in our infancy. Our family of National Historic Sites represent a diversity and breadth of Canada’s historic past. You can discover sites in every province and territory, from coast to coast to coast.
Our sites offer a range of experiences and a wealth of learning moments for you, your family and your community. They are authentic places, representing all aspects of our past. Many of our sites are amazing and beautiful places and showcase impressive architecture, but others reflect social challenges of the past and present. These sites are testaments, to who we were, but also to who are today.
Most of our sites are run by people like you: no uniforms, no official words, just friendly faces with stories. Every National Historic Site has an emotional and special significance – deep values that are imbued in the place.
