The National Historic Sites Alliance commits to the commemorative integrity of all National Historic Sites and brings meaning to being designated;

We provide information, expertise and best practices about National Historic Sites;

We provide a forum for co-operative actions between National Historic Sites;

We help to train and educate people about National Historic Sites;

We promote greater public awareness of National Historic Sites;

We support advancing the causes of National Historic Sites.

We follow international conservation principles, charters and documents. The Alliance supports the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada (2010).
